The Imax
The BFI London Imax is located within the centre of Waterloo in the middle of a roundabout. It has fast become a major tourist attraction since it’s opening in 1999 and has become something of a London landmark. It’s a state of the art cinema with a circular design and glass exterior where films are shown in Imax format. The Imax was specifically designed to absorb sound, as it is perched just above a tube line and surrounded by the noisy bustle of road traffic. There are just 60 Imax cinemas in the world at present. The fist thing that stood out to me about the Imax was its shear size it was so modern and contemporary and then when I entered inside it was like stepping inside a plush old-fashioned hotel and the lighting of the cinema gave a mysterious atmosphere the only thing that gave it away as a cinema was the ticket bureau located near the front.Tangled 4 February - 6 March
